NFL Picks - Minnesota Viking vs. Jacksonville Jaguars

The Minnesota Vikings and Jacksonville Jaguars will be playing for their playoff lives when they kick-off this Sunday. The Vikings needed to beat the Tampa Bay Buccaneers on the road in their last game. They failed to do so which dropped their season straight-up record to 5 and 5. Against the online betting spread, the Vikings have been worse going 3 and 7. That makes them a difficult online bet for sportsbook betting fans to make no matter who they end up playing. Adrian Peterson just isn’t enough and the game plan that the Vikings have put together this season has been just awful.

 

The Jacksonville Jaguars have to be considered one of the biggest disappointments in the NFL this season. They were one of the favorites in the BetUS online sportsbook to win the Super Bowl after upsetting the Pittsburgh Steelers in last season’s NFL Playoffs. But thing haven’t worked out for the Jags this year. They are 4 and 6 straight-up and like the Vikings a terrible 3 and 7 against the online betting spread. The Jags will have to win out in order to have any chance at a playoff spot.

Which team wants it more? My brain tells me to go with the Viking in this game, but I’m not sure that the Vikings are a better team than the Jags.

The Jags had high hopes going into this season but injuries to that offensive line ended any chance they had of making an impact. I still like them in this game, though, because they are playing at home and they were very good in that first half against the Tennessee Titans last Sunday.

They should find the Vikings easier to handle in this game. I’ll be placing an online wager on the Jacksonville Jaguars to cover the 2 ½ online sportsbook betting spread in this game.
