NFL Football Betting - Chicago Bears vs. Minnesota Vikings

The NFL season is about set to enter its 13th week of action, and BetUS Sportsbook has all of the great sports betting showcases available to football bettors. On NBC’s Sunday Night Football, first place in the NFC North is on the line when the Chicago Bears (6-5, 5-5-1 ATS) head to Minneapolis to do battle with the Minnesota Vikings (6-5, 4-7 ATS).

The Bears will be looking to sweep the season series with the Vikes after beating them 48-41 as three-point home favorites back in Week 7. They’ve covered three of the L/4 in this NFC North rivalry.

The Monster of the Midway appears to be back and better than ever. The Bears defense was swarmed the field against the Rams in Week 12 NFL betting action, limiting the Rams impotent offense to just 236 total yards. LB’s Brian Urlacher and Lance Briggs combined for eight tackles and three of the four interceptions the Chicago ‘D’ snagged. The defensive line racked up five sacks and was dominant in the trenches. The Rams managed a paltry 14 yards on 19 overall carries.

Offensively, QB Kyle Orton played a typical Kyle Orton game, completing 18 of 29 passes for 139 yards and a touchdown, but didn’t throw an interception. RB Matt Forte kept his name alive in the race for Offensive Rookie of the Year honors, rushing the ball 20 times for 132 yards and two scores. He now has 1,245 combined yards and nine scores on the year. It all added up to a 27-3 victory for Chicago, which provided an easy ‘W’ for Bears bettors. The 30 combined points stayed well under the ‘total’ for the third straight game.

Minnesota also did its share to keep pace in the NFC North on Sunday, beating the hapless Jaguars 30-12 at Jacksonville Municipal Stadium. QB Gus Frerotte didn’t have his greatest game of the season, only completing 12 of 20 passes for 120 yards and no touchdowns against one interception, but RB Adrian Peterson picked up the slack, rushing for 80 yards and a score.

The story was the defense, which held RB’s Fred Taylor and Maurice Jones-Drew to 24 yards on the ground on nine carries. They recorded four sacks, picked off two passes, and recovered three fumbles in the victory. Vikes bettors stopped their two-game skid with the win, and hope to build on their 2-3 ATS record at home this week.

Oddsmakers have installed the host Vikes as 3.5-point home favorites on the pro football betting line, with the ‘total’ currently sitting at 42.
Consider adding the ‘over’ to your NFL betting card this weekend. The Bears have gone 26-11-1 towards the ‘over’ in their L/38 games against the NFC, and the ‘over’ is 4-1-1 in this series since the start of 2006. The NFL betting trends peg Minnesota as the choice side, as the home team is 9-3 ATS in the L/12 meetings between these division rivals.

No matter which side of this NFC North tussle you plan on backing, BetUS can take all of your action, so login to your account and place your Week 13 NFL bets today!
