NFL Betting - New York Jets vs. Tennessee Titans

Is this the weekend when the Tennessee Titans finally lose a game? The Titans have been flirting with a loss for about four weeks in a row. Somehow, someway, and I doubt any sports betting fan in the world knows how, the Titans have pulled out wins. They beat the Green Bay Packers in overtime. Just last Sunday they spotted the Jacksonville Jaguars an 11 point lead and then came out and dominated the second half. For online betting fans it doesn’t get any better than 10 and 0 on the season and 9 and 1 against the spread.

The New York Jets is the team that will be trying to derail the Titans’ undefeated season. The Jets just won an overtime game this past Thursday against the New England Patriots. It was a watershed game for the Jets who are proving to be more than just Brett Favre. Running back Thomas Jones leads the AFC in rushing yards. He and Brett are almost always on the same page. For online football betting fans, the Jets are one of the better teams in the NFL to lay money on.

Here are the BetUS betting odds for this game.

New York Jets + 4 ½ - 110 + 200 O 40 ½ - 110

Tennessee Titans - 4 ½ - 110 - 240 U 40 ½ - 110

Here are a few trends that might help us find a good online bet in this game.

The New York Jets are 5 and 1 against the spread versus a team with a winning record.

The Over is 5-2-1 in the New York Jets last 8 games overall.

The Tennessee Titans are 7 and 0 against the spread in their last 7 games versus an opponent from the AFC Conference.

The Under is 7 and 3 in the Tennessee Titans last 10 games versus an AFC Conference opponent.
The Titans are the second bests team in the NFL after the New York Giants. They play terrific offense and defense and Coach Jeff Fisher is a master motivator.

But their luck may run out in this game. I know that I’ve picked against the Titans and the spread in three of the past four weeks. Each time, the Titans have found a way to cover the spread, but this is different.

The Jets are on a nice roll right now with Favre using Jones in the backfield and that Jets’ defense playing better than it has all season.

I’m going to go out on a big limb here and take the Jets on the money line at + 200.
